In Mangaluru city, there was a break in the rain from morning until evening. The weather was a mix of sunshine and clouds. There was a heavy downpour in the evening, but the intensity reduced later.
In the district, areas like Bantwal, Belthangady, Puttur, Sullia, and Subrahmanya saw good rainfall in the evening. During the daytime, some places experienced sunny weather. Water levels decreased in areas that had witnessed flooding on Monday.
In Kodagu and Kasaragod districts, the rainfall subsided as compared to Monday.

Udupi: Rainfall Decreases
In Udupi district, rainfall decreased on Tuesday, leading to a reduction in flooding in several areas. There was moderate rainfall in the district late Monday night and on Tuesday evening. Karkala, Kundapura, Byndoor, Udupi, Brahmavar, Kaup, Siddapur, and Hebri experienced sunny weather from morning until noon, followed by moderate rain amid cloudy conditions.
Despite the heavy rain on Monday, normalcy returned to Udupi city. Water levels receded in Gundibailu, Bailakere, Mathadabettu, Krishna Mutt parking area, Bannanje Moodanidamburu, and other parts. Over 60 people, who were stranded in artificial flooding, were housed at Mathura Comforts near Sri Krishna Mutt. They returned home on Tuesday.
Yellow Alert Issued
According to the Indian Meteorological Department’s forecast, a “yellow alert” has been issued for the coastal region from July 10 to 13, indicating the possibility of heavy rain. In the city, the maximum temperature recorded on Tuesday was 29.4°C, which is 0.5°C higher than usual. The minimum temperature was 22.4°C, 0.8°C lower than usual.
