Bengaluru: The state government on Monday announced Kannada Rajyotsava awards for 64 people in their respective field for their distinguished work.
The awardees are as follows:
Literature: Dr Manjappa Shetty Masagalli. B. Rajashekarapapa, Chandrakanth Karavalli and Dr Saraswathi Chimagalli.
Theatre: Parashuram Siddi, Pal Suidarshan, Hooli Shekar, N. Shivalingaiah, Dr H.K. Ramanath and Bhargavi Narayan.
Music: Chote Rehamat Khan, Nagavalli Nagaraj, Dr Muddumohan and Srinivas Udupa.
Folklore: Neelagararu Doddagavisiddappa Manteswami Paramapare, Holabasaiah Dundaiah Sambalada, Bheemsingh Sakaram Rathod, Usman Sab Khadar Sab, Kotresh Chennabasappa Kotrappanavara and K.R. Holsalaiah.

The Rajyotsava Prashasti or Rajyotsava Awards is the second-highest civilian honour of the Karnataka state of India which is conferred annually by Karnataka Government on the occasion of the establishment of the state on 1 November celebrated as the Kannada Rajyotsava.
