Ramanagara: Seer of Chilume Matha found hanging under suspicious circumsatnces

Ramanagara: Basavalinga Swamiji, the seer of the Chilume Matha in Solur Hobli in Magadi Taluk here was found dead under suspicious circumstances on Monday morning.

As per sources, the seer had returned to the monastery on Sunday night. He had performed the Dhanurmasa Puja and Gadduge puja on Monday morning. But, a while later, he was found dead, hanging from a window in the matha.

Ramanagara Superintendent of Police S. Girish inspected the site. The exact cause of the death is not yet known. Investigations are ongoing, sources said.
