Comet Neowise is visible throughout July and the first week of August and as they are at their brightest when they are close to the Sun, it is best to search for them after sunset.
Comet Neowise was discovered on March 27, by Near Earth Object Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (NEOWISE) which is a space telescope launched by NASA in 2009.
The comet is visible for about 3 weeks now and it is fainter than previous weeks. But, astronomers claim that on July 23 the comet will pass closest to the Earth at a distance of 103.6 million. It will be visible to the naked eye of sky-gazers in India on July 22 and July 23 around sunset.
