Red, Orange Alerts issued for Karnataka till July 13

Bengaluru: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued Red and Orange Alerts for the State as the monsoon starts to intensify.

The department issued Orange Alerts for July 10 and 13 while Red Alerts have been issued for July 11 and 12.

Coastal Karnataka will experience rains and thundershowers while heavy rains have been predicted for south-interior and many places in the north-interior Karnataka.

The department has also advised fishermen not to venture into the sea as windspeeds are likely to reach 60 kilometres per hour across the coast.
