Refined palmolein recovers on fresh demand

Mumbai : Refined palmolein prices recovered marginally at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today following fresh demand from retail buyers.

Elsewhere, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial also rebounded smartly owing to renewed demand from shippers and soap industries. While, groundnut oil dropped further due to lower demand from stockists and retailers amid ample supply.

Meanwhile, linseed oil ruled steady in the absence of any large-scale buying activity. In the edible segment, refined palmolein edged up by Rs 3 per 10 kg to Rs 526 from Friday’s close of Rs 523 but groundnut oil eased by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 930 as against Rs 940 yesterday.

Moving to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold regained by Rs 100 per 100 kg to Rs 4,725 as compared to yesterday’s close at Rs 4,625 and castoroil commercial gained by Rs 20 per 10 kg to Rs 975 from Rs 955.

Linseed oil ended unaltered at Rs 770 per 10 kg.
