The registration counters will be open daily from 10 AM to 8 PM, from June 5 to June 14. The new, streamlined process will utilize an online integrated software application, drastically reducing paperwork by eliminating the need for MPs to sign multiple physical forms across various branches. This initiative is expected to save a substantial amount of time.
Previously, registrations were conducted in the old Parliament House building, currently known as Samvidhan Sadan. This time around, the Lok Sabha Secretariat has arranged for the process to take place in the Parliament House Annexe.
To facilitate smooth operations, a dedicated team has been tasked with monitoring the Election Commission’s website in real-time on Tuesday to promptly enter the contact details of successful candidates. The software application will help identify whether a candidate is a newly elected MP or has been re-elected, with this information being communicated to liaison officers. Efforts have been made to appoint liaison officers from the same region and with similar language skills to ensure efficient communication.
