Rickshaw driver commits suicide by coming under train wheels

Mulki: The corpse of a local auto-rickshaw driver has been found on the railway tracks near Koppala in Haleyangadi. It is suspected that he committed suicide by giving his head to a passing train.

The deceased is identified as Naveen Karkada (44), a resident of Koluvailu and was working as an auto-rickshaw driver within Haleyangadi limits.

It is learnt that Naveen was suffering from depression since some time. His wife had expired five years ago. He has two sons.

Mulki police have registered a case in this connection.
