The Sydney Morning Herald reported that Ponting complained of feeling unwell while on a commentating assignment for Channel 7.
“Ricky Ponting is unwell and will not be providing commentary for the remainder of today’s coverage,” a Seven spokesperson said, according to the SMH report.
Further, the SMH reported the industry sources saying that Ponting was feeling “fine” after a hospital check-up. However, he did not return to the commentary box before stumps on Day 3.

In 375 ODIs, he scored 13,704 runs at an average of 42.03, with 30 centuries and 82 fifties. In 17 T20Is, he made 401 runs at an average of 28.64 and scored two fifties.
He was a part of Australian team that won three straight 50-over World Cups in 1999, 2003, and 2007, leading the side to triumphs in later two tournaments as skipper.
