RV Deshpande wants Bengaluru to be the second capital of India

Bengaluru: Minister for Large & Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development RV Deshpande wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking to make Bengaluru the second capital of the country.

Expressing a need for another capital in the country, Deshpande wrote to the PM to make Bengaluru the second capital. The letter said,” India is in need of another capital and to fulfil that role Bengaluru is the best place. Bengaluru is the only city where you can find the maximum number of engineers in the country as well as maximum number of classical language scholars. Besides, the present capital New Delhi, Bengaluru has most number of student population internationally and most diverse population of professionals attesting to the cultural diversity of the city and its civic strength.”

With an aim to help create better opportunity for scientific innovation and culture and trade exchange in Bengaluru and to create a sense of being a part in national mainstream among the south Indians, Minister Deshpande made the above move.
