Puneeth Rajkumar and Sayyeshaa’s Yuvarathnaa released in theatres this week and the sudden move from the Karnataka government will eat into the profits of the film. Puneeth Rajkumar has requested the government to rethink the guidelines for theatres.

Similarly, Kichcha Sudeep took to Twitter to express his shock.

He wrote, “Going back to 50% theatrical occupancy is surely a shocker to a film tats just released. Respecting the govt’s decision too is our duty, keeping in mind it’s for a reason. I wish team #Yuvaratna the best of strength to overcome this situation and come out victorious. @hombalefilms (sic).”

Another actor Rakshit Shetty tweeted, “Reducing the theatres occupancy to 50% without any prior notice is extremely unfair. Your entertainment is someone’s livelihood. Let’s not forget that.”
