The CCB police had petitioned before the court as the accused persons were not cooperating with the investigating officers to collect the sample.

It maybe recalled that the police had collected samples of Sanjjanaa and Ragini for the hair follicle test earlier, but the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Hyderabad had returned these samples citing that standard procedures for evidence submission had not been followed by the CCB police.

It is gathered that apart from Sanjjanaa and Ragini, the other accused Rahul Tonse, Loom Pepper, and Riaz Mohamed too will be subjected to a hair follicle test.

The hair follicle drug test is conducted on a person who is suspected of drug abuse to confirm it.
