Second non-Vande Bharat Mission aircraft lands at MIA with stranded Kannadigas

Mangaluru: A chartered flight carrying Kannadigas, who were stranded in Saudi Arabia since the Covid-19 induced lockdown arrived at Mangaluru International Airport on Tuesday June 2.

This was the non-Vande Bharat Mission aircraft to land at Mangaluru airport after the lockdown was eased. Most of the passengers on the flight were of Dakshina Kannada origin.

The passengers expressed gratitude to Zacharia Bajpe, Sharif Bolar, Zahid and the team of Al Muzain, a company that supplies industrial equipment, through whose efforts their repatriation was possible.

Earlier on June 1, the first chartered flight, arranged by NRI-hotelier Praveen Shetty to ferry his staff and their family members arrived in Mangaluru from Ras Al Khaimah.
