Mangaluru-based Ocean Constructions India Pvt Ltd’s deadline for the concretiztion of the 12.38-km stretch (Kemphole to Addahole) was set to April 9th 2019. But, they have finished the work a whole lot earlier. According to sources, DK DC Sasikanth Senthil is not keen on opening the Shiradi stretch till the completion of work on shoulders and guard walls at the critical points prone to accidents. Hence, the Ghat may be opened only after July 15th.
