Shiradi Ghat to open by July 5: HD Revanna

Mangaluru: PWD minister H D Revanna who was in the district to monitor the rain affected areas said that the Managluru-Bengaluru road stretch on Shiradi Ghat is most likely to be reopened by July 5.

Addressing the media here, Revanna said the second phase of Shiradi Ghat development work on NH 75 is almost complete. “Within four days the work will be completed and it may take 10 more days for curing of concrete. We are expecting to open the road for vehicle movement by July 5,”

Vehicle movement on NH 75, Shiradi Ghat stretch was restricted from January 20. Vehicles are not allowed between Maranahalli in Sakleshpur and Gundya in Puttur at present. All vehicles on Mangaluru-Bengaluru route are now diverted via Charmadi and Mysuru routes.
