Responding to a query regarding Karadlaje’s statement that Yeddyurappa would become state chief minister after the bypolls next month Siddaramaiah said that the state coalition government was safe and there was no chance for Yeddyurappa to become Chief Minister. He exuded confidence about a victory for the coalition candidates in the five constituencies where by-elections are to be held.
“JD(S) and Congress have forgotten all differences and are fighting the elections unitedly. The alliance would continue for the Lok Sabha elections as well,” he said adding that defeating BJP was the party aim.
