As per the sources, Siddaramaiah left to Delhi on Monday, June 17 and so far, he has not been able to meet Rahul Gandhi who is busy in the Lok Sabha proceedings.
It is also gathered that the Congress chief is expected to be briefed by Siddaramaiah about the current developments in the state politics including the moves of dissatisfied senior Congress legislators who have launched the banner of revolt against state leaders.
Siddaramaiah will also explain the sudden dissidence in Karnataka and also the reasons for the poll debacle. The meeting has gained importance especially after former PM and JD(S) supremo HD Deve Gowda met Rahul Gandhi and reportedly told him that his party may severe its ties with the Congress if the pinpricks from Congress netas do not stop, informed sources.
