Siddaramaiah states that BJP doesn't have patent over Hindutva

Bengaluru: A marathon meeting was held on Tuesday by The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) where the top leaders of the state decided to strike back at the opposition party that is Bharathiya Janatha Party (BJP) saying that the party doesn’t have any kind of copyright over Hindutva.

Speaking at the meeting, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah told his party members and leaders to counter BJPP’s motive of communal and Hindutva politics aggressively by justifying the congress’s role in safeguarding the Hindu religion since the country’s independence. Siddaramaiah also told his party workers and leaders to keep their swords sharp to counter BJP’s attacks on the government policies.

He also stated that what BJP is preaching is not Hindutva. Their aim is to divide the society but congress wants to take along all the communities and religion and move forward.

The meeting was attended by AICC general secretary in-charge of Karnataka K.C. Venugopal, KPCC president G. Parameshwara and 200 new office-bearers. Asking the office-bearers to organise booth-level committees in all 224 constituencies, the Chief Minister said that addition of 50 votes in each booth will add 10,000 votes in each constituency.
