Addressing an election rally held at Siruguppa on Friday, April 19 he said that if he becomes the chief minister of the state again he would give 10 kg of rice to poor people under the Annabhagya scheme.

“The Annabhagya Scheme was implemented to fulfil the poor’s hunger. I will give 10 kg of rice to poor under the Annabhagya scheme if I become the chief minister again,” Siddaramaiah said.

“The alliance government is working day and night for the welfare of all sections of people and also waived off the farmers’ loan. But when BJP state president Yeddyurappa was asked to waive off the farmers’ loan during his tenure he had said that there was no money for farmers’ loan waiver scheme and now his is wearing a green towel and telling that he is with farmers,” Siddaramaiah said lashing out at Yeddyurappa.
