Siddu clarifies his stand on Ayodhya visit

Raichur: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah addressed the ongoing speculation surrounding his stance on visiting Ayodhya.

Addressing presspersons here he emphasized that he has neither confirmed nor denied any plans to visit Ayodhya. He clarified that the issue revolves around the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) attempting to politicize the temple matter, which he opposes.

Siddaramaiah further expressed support for the installation of the idol of Sri Ramachandra in Ayodhya and the inauguration of the temple, stating that there are no objections from his end.

Responding to questions about potential candidates for the Kodagu-Mysuru Lok Sabha constituency, Siddaramaiah dismissed claims of confirming MLA Yathindra’s candidacy.

The final decision on the ticket allocation, Siddaramaiah stated, will be made based on the opinions of local MLAs, MPs, and party leaders.

Additionally, Siddaramaiah announced a two-month deadline for the submission of the Kanthraj survey report. While expressing openness to accepting the report earlier if completed, he affirmed that the final decision would be based on the comprehensive survey findings.
