Siddu to campaign for Nikhil in Mandya on April 12

Bengaluru: With just a few days to go for the first phase of the Lok Sabha polls in the state former chief minister Siddaramaiah has decided to campaign across the Mandya Lok Sabha constituency on April 12.

Siddaramaiah decision to campaign for the Mandya alliance candidate Nikhil Kumaraswamy, the decision was taken in an hour-long meeting with Nikhil Kumaraswamy on Friday, April 6 night.

It is gathered that Nikhil, after finishing his campaign rushed to Siddu’s residence in Bengaluru to discuss the present poll scenario in the constituency and then requested Siddaramaiah’s early intervention to resolve the pending issues.

Nikhil Kumaraswamy will be facing independent candidate, Sumalatha, wife of late actor and Congress minister M H Ambareesh in Mandya.

Karnataka will go to polls in two phases, 14 constituencies each, on April 18 and 23.

According to officials, 241 candidates are in the fray for the first phase of polls on April 18.
