Researchers at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics have observed dark matter’s supposed influence on a galactic scale, as it forms ‘halos’ around galaxy clusters.
They also found that the haloes developed across all mass scales, ranging from small, planet mass haloes to galactic one and even massive haloes that form around clusters of galaxies.
The simulation revealed all dark matter haloes have very similar internal structures, dense at the centre and increasingly diffuse moving outward.
