Speaking to the media reporters in the city on Saturday, Hiremath released the document alleging illegal property owned by the member of the family of Vishwanath Shetty in Bengaluru. He said wife of Justice Shetty, Shakunthala Shetty had purchased 4.25 acres of pasture land from R Ramaswamy at Kadaganahalli survey number 23 and 101 in Jala Hobali of Bengaluru urban district in 1986. The property was transferred to Shakunthala Shetty and her brother K Vijaya Shetty intitally and later, KV Vijaya Shetty transferred the rights of the land to his sister. The transfer of rights to Shakunthala Shetty has created suspicion, said Hiremath.  According to the law, the pasture land can’t be sold or purchased by anyone. Therefore, the ownership of the land is illegal and an enquiry is essential in this case, he added.
