Sri Vidyadheeshateertha Swamiji ascends Paryaya peetha today

Udupi: The Palimar Paryaya was held in a grand manner. Sri Vidyadheeshateertha Swamiji ascended the Paryaya peetha early this morning.

Grand ceremonial functions were held at Rajangana. Various cultural programmes, processions and Paryaya Darbar was held this morning.

This is the second paryaya for Sri Vidyadheeshateertha Swamiji.

Sri Vidyadheeshateertha Swamiji was born on May 13, 1956 in Shibaroor near Kateel in Dakshina Kannada district.

After completing his education in Kateel Durgaparameshwari High School. Vidyadheeshateertha Swamiji was administered into religious order in 1979 in Admar Math by Vidyamanya Swamiji. He was appointed as a heir of Palimar Math. 

The paryaya procession began at Jodukatte around 3.30 and passed through Court Road, KM Marg, Triveni circle, Kanakadasa Road and culminated at Sri Krishna Math in Car Street.

Ashta matha swamijis also participated in the procession. Swamijis were seated in palanquins.
