'Standing ovation for PM on Apr 12': Seems like a mischief to drag me into controversies, tweets Modi

New Delhi: A message asking citizens to give a standing ovation for Prime Minister Modi on Sunday, April 12 at 5 pm is being widely circulated on social media platforms.

“This man has done so much for us and our nation. This Sunday on 12th of April 2020, 5 pm Let us all give a standing ovation and salute our Prime Minister,” reads the message.

In an apparent reference to these messages, PM Modi on Wednesday said that it seems like a mischief to drag me into controversies.

He however requested people to take responsibility of one poor family at least until the coronavirus crisis ends.

“Maybe it is someone’s good intention, so it is my request that if you have so much love and if you want tp honour Modi, then take the responsibility of one poor family at least until the coronavirus crisis ends. There can’t be a bigger honour for me,” he added.

Notably PM Modi’s appeal to public to express gratitude to frontline COVID-19 workers by clapping for them for 5 minutes as well as the 9 baje 9 minute appeal asking people to light diyas and/or candle, mobile torch in to express solidarity in fight against Covid 19 received massive response.
