State govt to ban chemical-laced Kumkum in temples?

Bengaluru: The state Muzarai department is planning to ban Kumkum in a few temples of the state as it is mixed with chemicals substances.

The decision to ban Kumkum in few temples that fall under the Muzrai department was taken after several devotees complained of chemical-laced Kumkum usage in some of the temples.

Speaking on the issue, Muzrai minister Kota Srinivas Poojary said, “We have received complaints from devotees that Kumkum mixed with chemical is being used in some temples that fall under the Muzrai department. An order will be taken out banning the purchase and use of such chemical mixed Kumkum in order to safeguard the health of devotees.”

As per the Dermatologists, there is a possibility of getting Bindi Dermatitis allergy after to the use of chemical-laced Kumkum, due to which the cells of the skin in that area will die and the colour turns to white.
