Bengaluru: Disqualified MLA MTB Nagaraj on Monday, October 27 requested Cheif Minister BS Yediyurappa to stop the son of BJP MP, B.N. Bachhe Gowda, Sharat Bachhe Gowda, from campaigning in Hoskote, where the former is reportedly planning to contest against him in the coming by-election.

As per the sources Nagaraj Yediyurappa and told him that he had resigned his post as an MLA so that the BJP would reciprocate by clearing all hurdles in the way of his re-election. However, Chief Minister reportedly promised to take his complaint seriously.

Sharat Bachhe Gowda, who is believed to have decided to contest as an independent began campaigning the day Nagaraj resigned as Hospete MLA along with the 16 other legislators, who quit to bring down the last coalition government.

The state government had offered Sharath Bachhe Gowda was the post of chairman of the Karnataka Housing Board but he refused to change his mind, possibly because he had lost to Nagaraj in Hoskote in the 2018 assembly elections as a BJP candidate.
