Speaking about the COVID-19 situation in the district, he said the public should not fall ill by violating the government guidelines.
“We are aware of more than 200 people participating in weddings, and we have been aware of programs like Mehndi being conducted with many people in attendance. These are not appropriate in the public’s interest,” Jagadeesha said.
“Tehsildars appoint an officer to supervise a marriage after giving permission to one. If violations of the guidelines are reported, we will take action against that officer,” the DC added.
