Submit valid docs and get loan waived within a day: CM Yediyurappa

Haveri: Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Saturday, March 7 stated that farmers just have to present valid documents to the revenue department and their loans will be waived within 24 hours.

He said this at an event inaugurating developmental works at the Hirekerur assembly constituency in Haveri district.

He explained that there were discrepancies in the documents – Aadhar cards, BPL cards and land records – provided by farmers which is causing a delay in providing them with the waiver.

Approximately 1.6 lakh farmers who had borrowed from cooperative societies are eligible for the waiver.
