Sullia: Class 7 girl enters India Book of Records for fluently reciting Sanskrit verses

Sullia: Mabaladka Sarama Bhat M from Jalur village in the taluk here has achieved a place in the India Book of Records for the fluent recitation of Sanskrit verses.

Sarama, who currently lives in Bengaluru, recites 40 Sanksrit verses every day.

She can fluently recite 21 stanzas of the Kanakadhara Stotra, 12 stanzas of Devyaparadha Ksamapana Stotra, 20 verses of the Shiva Mansapuja Stotra, 10 Sanskrit subhashitas, names of all 12 months, 15 days and 7 days in Sanskrit.

Raghaveshwar Bharathi Swamiji of the Sri Ramachandrapur matha is the inspiration behind her achievements say her parents Suresh Kumar M and Ramya Suresh.

They added that Sarama has been reciting shlokas in her daily life since the age of 2. She begins her day with the recitation of ‘Karagre Vasate Lakshi’ every day and completes the day with ‘Ramaskandam Hanumantham.’ She recites shlokas and prays every time before reading, before meals and when lighting the lamps.
