Sullia: HJV workers stop bus after suspicious activity reported between 2 women and 1 man

Sullia: Hindu Jagarana Vedike workers on Thursday had intercepted a bus travelling to Bengaluru after a fellow passenger suspected something foul between 2 women and a man travelling in the bus.

The passenger who called the Vedike had noticed that a man named Naushad travelling in the bus did not alight at the stop he had bought the ticket to and bought another ticket to Bengaluru.

He also reportedly noticed that something suspicious going on between the two women seated in the opposite seats to Naushad in the bus.

Assuming that Naushad buying tickets to Bengaluru was something to do with the two women, he immediately called the Vedike.

Vedike workers stopped the bus at Anegundi and questioned Naushad and the woman. When their replies were inconsistent and further increased the suspicion the issue was then referred to the Sullia police station.

At the station, Naushad revealed that the two women had converted to Islam and he was accompanying them to Bengaluru.

The police then settled the issue and released the trio.
