Sullia: Minor girl raped, impregnated by relative

Sullia: A 17-year-old girl was allegedly raped and impregnated by her relative in Sullia.

The accused has been identified as Sandeep (22), a resident of Ariyadka, Puttur.

It is said that the accused was in touch with the victim for quite some time. Recently, he visited the girl’s residence to attend a family function.

At night, Sandeep had allegedly raped the victim and threatened her not to reveal the matter to anyone.

However, the elder sister was suspicious of the victim’s activities and on June 22 she took her for a scan at the nearby hospital. The doctors confirmed that the minor girl was pregnant.

Following this, a complaint was filed at the Sullia Police station.
