As per the Supreme Court guidelines, the survey was taken up from Tamati to Vitalapura in Sandur Taluk and Obilapuram Mining Company, located in Andhra Pradesh on Monday, February 1. Officials belonging to both the states were present during the survey.

Demanding the official team to not depend on the map of 1896, social activists urge that large scale alterations can be rectified.

Asserting the survey team to look into village boundaries before coming to a conclusion of the interstate border, Tapal Ganesh informed that even the Supreme Court has directed the survey team to use the British map for reference.

He further added that the survey team came there again but that they are not sure about the outcome.

Tapal Ganesh requested the team to look at a village map than just doing a mere survey as the British drafted village boundaries to separate them from forest areas were altered later.
