'Swan' comet to be visible in Udupi-Mangaluru region

Udupi: A comet named ‘Swan’ is approaching the Earth.

The comet is likely to be visible before sunrise (between 4 – 4:30 am) every day in the Udupi-Mangaluru region.

The visibility of the comet will be very clear on May 20 as it will be passing by the Algol star system. There are many sky mapping apps available to help identify this star and find the comet.

The comet will be visible with the same brightness till May 22.

The last comet to pass by Earth was the Halley’s comet which was visible in 1986. It will next appear in the year 2061.
