The electric version of the Tigor sedan is available in two mid-spec variants – XM and XT at a price tag of Rs.9.99 lakh and Rs.10.09 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. This price includes the FAME II incentives and the 1% tax imposed on cars that cost above Rs.10 lakh. Tata offers the Tigor EV with a 3-year or 1.25 lakh kilometre warranty.
The Tigor EV gets powered by a 72V three-phase AC induction motor that generates 30kW power @ 4,500rpm and 105Nm of peak torque @ 2,500rpm. The 16.2kWh battery takes 6 hours to get 80% charged via a standard AC wall socket while the same can be achieved in a claimed 90 minutes via a DC 15kW fast charger. Tata claims a top speed of 80kmph and 0-60kmph time of 12 seconds for the Tigor EV and 142km range on a single charge of the battery.
In terms of features, both the XM and XT variants get dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, LED tail-lamps, driver’s seat height-adjust, power windows and a Harman Kardon 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth, USB and AUX connectivity. In addition to these, the XT variant gets 14-inch alloy wheels and powered outer mirrors. The all-electric compact sedan runs on 175/65 R14 tyres and is available in white, blue and silver colour options.
