The techie identified as Guru Prashant was stabbed in the left ear by the staffer Karthik following the heated argument. A profusely bleeding Prashant had collapsed outside the cyber cafe centre and was rushed to the hospital by passersby. He, however, succumbed to his injuries in the wee hours of Tuesday, hours before his wife delivered a baby.
Karthik was arrested by the police on the same day following a complaint lodged by the victims’ family member. In his confession, Karthik admitted to having stabbed Prashant in the left ear with a screwdriver after an argument ensued between them regarding the price of colour printouts. Reportedly, Guru had gone to the cafe to get printouts of his resume.
Meanwhile, Prashant’s wife gave birth to their baby on Tuesday morning, hours after his death. It is learnt that family members decided not to inform her about her Prashant’s death for the time being.
