Teen forcefully married five times

Belagavi: A 15 year old girl was allegedly sold to five men in the name of marriage and is now pregnant after she was forced into sexual relationship with the fifth husband.

This barbaric incident took place in a village of Belagavi. The teen is now rescued by the women and child welfare department.

The girl’s father and step mother are found to be the main accused in this case. The girl had returned home in Raibag taluk after her father’s death. She sought help from the department and was rescued. She is now at Santhvana centre.
