On Friday, Bantwal rural police were conducting routine check when they stopped a two-wheeler bearing a Kerala number plate. When the rider was cross questioned, it was discovered that he was accused in at least 5 theft cases.
The police have recovered gold worth Rs 32,000, a laptop valued Rs. 20,000 stolen from a primary healthcare centre, a donation box, a mortorcycle estimated at Rs. 40,000 and a mobile handset from the accused.
