The deceased have been identified as Mohammed Farhan, Sayyed Yasin and Divya. Their friends Rahmaan and Spoorthi were severely injured and are fighting for life at the hospital.

The accident took place when the group was returning after celebrating Farhan and Yasin’s success in BBM examinations. Rahmaan was driving the car and is said to be expert in driving sports cars but their fate turned evil when he lost control of the car that day. The speeding car hit the median on the road and toppled. The three students sitting at the rear were thrown off the vehicle and died on spot while Rahmaan and Spoorthi seated in front were severely injured and were rushed to the nearby hospital.

The traffic police inspected the spot and suspected that Rehman’s intention to show off his driving skills to his friends resulted in the accident.

Kuvempunagar Traffic Police have registered a case.
