Toll of H1N1 cases in Karnataka reaches 618 with 7 deaths so far in 2017

Bengaluru: As Karnataka is preparing for deadly summer days, as many as 618 suspected H1N1 cases have been confirmed in the state whereas seven patients with H1N1 infection have died so far in the year 2017, according to the latest data released by the Karnataka State Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Services. Nearly, new 213 H1N1 cases have been reported in the last one week in the state. So far in 2017, two deaths following H1N1 fever have been reported in Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) followed by Kolar 1, Shivamogga 2, Chikkamagaluru and Mysuru one each.

Meanwhile, around 250 H1N1 cases have been found in BBMP and two H1N1 death cases have been reported in the last 2 moths. The H1N1 disease is usually spread by air and the health experts have suggested the people to remain alert and keep a vigil on their own health. There were 8 H1N1 cases have been confirmed in Dakshina Kannada in 2017 followed by Udupi 46, Shivamogga 42, BBMP 250, Bengaluru Urban 102, Bengaluru Rural 3 including other districts also.
