The training programme is a five-day long programme and will commence for the first batch on Monday February 11th 2019, at New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT), Mangaluru and will conclude onFriday February 15th , 2019.
Both, lectures and field training will be included in the programme which also consists live demonstrations of detection and decontamination including use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Along with equipping the seaport emergency handlers to handle CBRN emergencies, the train programme will also teach the participants on how to provide medical first aid and initial psycho-social support.
Experts from NDMA, NDRF, INMAS, BARC, DRDO and other departments will deliver lectures and hold demonstrations regarding CBRN emergency management.

Indian Ports Association (IPA), Institute of Nuclear Medicine & Allied Sciences (INMAS) and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) are collaborating to conduct the training programme.
