The gathered protestors claimed that by moving the ‘Transgender Bill 2018’ in the Rajya Sabha, the central government has sought to crush the rights of the transgenders. Raising slogans against the central government, the protestors demanded that the bill be withdrawn immediately.

The protestors demanded the tabling of a bill that is in the interests of the linguistic minority  and said that the bill passed in its current form should never be allowed to become law.
