TTD approves K'taka govt plans for hall and guest house at Tirumala

Bengaluru: In a meeting at ‘Krishna’ residential office of the Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) chief M V Subba Reddy has approved the blueprint of the State government for a Rs 200 crore convention hall and guest house at Tirumala.

Karanataka government owns 7-acre land at Tirumala. As per plans, the government will be constructing a 320 room guest house with a dormitory and a marriage hall on that land.

The State government will transfer the project cost to TTD, which will implement the project itself.

The Chief Minister is to visit Tirumala in the month of Shravan to inaugurate the project. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy may also attend.

Minister Dr K Sudhakar and Chief Secretary Vijayabhaskar, Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Department Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri were among others present in the meeting.
