Two Europeans Arrested in Bengaluru for Stealing Secret Data of Debit, Credit Card Users

Bengaluru: Crime Investigation Department (CID) police have arrested to Europeans, including a Romanian, Dan Sabian Christian (40) and a Hungarian Mare Janos (44) after they found stealing secret data of debit and credit cards users in Bengaluru city earlier this week.

Speaking in a press conference held in Bengaluru on Friday, CID Director General Kishore Chandra informed media persons, the police arrested the duo following the complaints from the public. Skimming instruments, computers, memory cards and other hardware items used to stole credit, debit cards’ data have been seized from the accused.   

CID police stated the duo used skimming units and mini cameras at ATM kiosks in Bengaluru to steal secret information of credit, debit card users. They managed to get secret codes of many customers from some ATM machines in the city using the hardware seized.

The accused reportedly confessed that they came to India on September 1 with an intension to steal secret codes of the customers.  The duo had planned to move United Kingdom on September 19.
