The adalat was chaired by district commissioner G Jagadeesha. The adalat diposed around 238 cases in the presence of additional DC Sadashiva Prabhu, assistant commissioner and tahsildars.
Among the 238 cases, 42 were from Karkala, 30 from Hebri, 46 from Brahmwar, 18 from Kaup, 57 from Udupi and 45 from Byndoor taluks.
Saying that 11E pertains to drawing up the pre-mutation sketch, Jagadessha said that it was done after a survey was carried out in the presence of both the buyer and seller, following which a ‘podi’ / revenue document is generated.

The adalat will be held twice a week to minimise the number of pending cases. It is also important to note that the city has around 5000 such pending cases.
Jagadeesha informed that most cases are delayed as there are corrections that need to be carried out in the RTC.
The decision comes after the land was sold and the ‘podi’ was generated, based on it separate RTCs were created and given to land holders. Around 1500 to 2000 cases were addressed in Udupi District every month. Following which the district administration decided to clear such cases.
DC further informed that various steps have been taken to streamline functioning of the revenue department.
At the recent pilot Jilladikarigale Hallige Nadeyiri launched in Udupi, the issue of 11 E permutation sketch came into light.
