Udupi: Assistant prof at SMVIT killed in car accident

Shirva: An assistant professor at Bantakal’s Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology (SMVIT) died in a tragic road accident that occurred at Honnavara on Friday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Ananthesh Rao (40). The incident occurred when his car collided with a container near Honnavara. Rao was on his way to Sode Mula Matha from Udupi. He passed away on the spot due to severe injuries.

Rao, a resident of Mangaluru, is survived by his wife, Shripriya Anantesh, and a son. Shripriya Anantesh is the principal of MV Shetty Allied Health Sciences College in Mangaluru.

The news of his sudden demise has left his family, friends, and colleagues in shock.

The president of the institution Sri Vishwavallabha Theertha Sripada of the Sode Matha,  along with Secretary Rathnakumar, Principal Dr. Thirumaleshwar Bhat, and Vice Principal Dr. Ganesh Aital, expressed their condolences.
