Udupi: DC Jagadeesh warns of criminal case against quarantine violators

Udupi: District residents who recently arrived from other countries and States and undergoing quarantine must adhere to the quarantine rules. If found to be violating the rules then criminal cases will be registered against them warned Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesha.

The DC stated this in a post on his Facebook account.

He added that there are more than 6,000 people in quarantine in the district so far. It was noticed that some people in quarantine are wandering outside. If found, they will be prosecuted according to Section 188.

He further stated that all arrangements for people coming from outside the district have been made. All precautions to prevent the spread of the virus are in place.
