The shrine houses the idols of Geeta Yadav Pujari, her mother Kalyani Bai Pujari and her great-grandmother Muttakka Baidi Pujari.
Geeta Yadav Pujari was a Congress party stalwart in Mumbai. She was a corporator in the Greater Mumbai Municipal Corporation and led various religious, educational and social service activities in the city.
She was also the founder of the Joseph Patel Estate Navratri Durga Puja Mandal in Mumbai and helped many Tulu Nadu residents in Mumbai.

Geeta died of a heart attack on September 3, 2020.
The temple built in memory of Geeta Yadav, Kalyani and Muttakka Baidi Pujari was inaugurated on the anniversary of Geeta Yadav’s first death anniversary.
The construction of the temple, the construction of the putthali, and the installation of the idol within the temple cost Rs 27 lakhs.
A team of workers from Jaipur, Rajasthan, was in charge of the construction of the temple and the work of idol engraving took 3 months and 22 days to complete.
The temple was built collectively by the family of Geeta Yadav including her husband Vasanth Yadav, children Manoj V Yadav, Santosh V Yadav and Vinay V Yadav.
