Udupi: Fire breaks out at Furniture showroom; Goods worth Rs 40 lakh destroyed

Udupi: Furniture worth lakhs was destroyed after a major fire broke out at the Furniture showroom in Udupi on Thursday, April 21.

The fire engulfed the godown and spread to the adjacent hotel. An electrical short circuit is suspected to be the reason for the mishap.

A team of fire personnel rushed to the spot and doused the fire after hours of operation.

Goods worth Rs 40 lakh are suspected to have been gutted in the mishap.
