Udupi gets first Muslim woman District Magistrate

Udupi: Justice Mamtaz has become the first Muslim woman District Magistrate of this temple town district.

Justice Mamtaz had previously served as the Assistant Public Prosecutor in Bhatkal’s JMFC court and later in Udupi’s JMFC court.

She was also the ADP in Udupi SP’s office.

Justice Mamtaz completed her law degree from SDM College in Mangaluru.
